Using A Region

WHAT IS A REGION

Think of Regions in geographic terms like state, but one where you get to choose what locations make up a Region. Perhaps it’s Sydney Metro, or Gold Coast.

CREATE A REGION

First, navigate to NETWORK / REGIONS, click NEW and give your Region a name.

Next, add all the Player Sites that make up that Region. Navigate to NETWORK / PLAYER SITES and choose the Region you want to add to this Site. Click EDIT and using the Region drop down menu, select your choice and click APPLY.

Repeat for all the other Player Sites that you want included in this Region.

USING A REGION IN A PLAYLIST

If you’ve assigned a Local or Region Auto-Schedule placeholder to a Playlist, it will look for media content that’s been tagged by a Region to use in this space.

Should Laqorr not find any appropriate content, it will simply skip to the next item.

See ADD AUTO-SCHEDULING TO A PLAYLIST to learn how to add a Region placeholder in a Playlist.

See HOW TO AUTO-SCHEDULE A MEDIA FILE to learn how to tag media files by Region.

REGIONAL MANAGERS

A Regional Manager is a type of User with very narrow access to Laqorr.

They cannot assign files to playlists directly, but instead can assign media files to automatically play on players, player sites or specified regions within their designated set of regions.

If Players in their Region(s) don’t have an Auto-Schedule slot for region content, no files will play. The Regional Manager will need to ask a Network Administrator to add such slots to any Playlists.
