IN A GROUP, you can
- Assign a player or a number of players to as many playlists as you want
- Day-part playlists to run different content on different days or times of the day
- Confirm your weekly schedule from the calendar view
- Change the screen layout to create split screens, add ticker feeds or display web pages
CREATE A GROUP
First, navigate to NETWORK / GROUPS and create a NEW group, or EDIT an existing group. Or you can modify an existing group by first copying it – click COPY and then make changes. Now you will need to:
- Choose a layout
- Add playlists
- Add media players
CHOOSE A LAYOUT
A Layout determines how content will be displayed on a screen. Straight Video is the default and is most often used.
It simply shows your content full screen.
You can use a Layout to partition or split a screen so that different content appears in different parts of the screen.
You can use it to add a clock widget, or a ticker along the bottom of your screen.
You’ll need a specific layout if you are using an irregular display like a video wall, wide screen or LED. This enables Laqorr to tell the screen the shape your content and how to display it properly.
To choose a new layout, click EDIT then CHANGE next to the thumbnail under Layout. A pop-up window shows available layouts including split-screen options and tickers.
Choose one that is appropriate to your screen, and to your needs. If one is not available, see HOW TO CREATE A SCREEN LAYOUT.

ASSIGN A PLAYLIST
With the template chosen, you now need to assign a Playlist (or Playlists) to the Group.
Click on ASSIGN PLAYLIST and make a choice from the drop-down menu. If you have a split-screen layout that has more than one Feed, make sure each Feed has been assigned a Playlist.
You can have more than one Playlist in each Feed list – by default, these will appear in descending order. You can change the order of the Playlists by moving them up or down the list.
If you assign more than one Playlist, you can Day-part each one by date, day or time to depending on when you want the Playlist and its content to play. See HOW TO DAY-PART A PLAYLIST to learn more.
Laqorr will always want to play from the top of the list. Be sure to check that all your choices will in fact play, and that one higher up isn’t blocking one further down.
Make use of the calendar which will show you when each Playlist will actually play.
ASSIGN PLAYERS TO GROUPS
The function of a Group is to send the same content from the same Playlists to all the Players assigned to that Group.
If you want some of your Players to run a different playlist of content, you should create a new Group with a new set of Playlists for those Players.
To assign players to a Group, click EDIT and scroll to the bottom of the page where you’ll see two windows: Member Players and Non-Member Players.
Every player in your network will appear in one of these windows. Simply move the players you want in this Group into the Member Players window. Scroll to the top and click APPLY.
At the bottom of the Group page, you’ll see all the Players in that Group, the Site they belong to, and the state they reside in.
The Edit History tab shows all activity that has happened in that Group (changes to Playlists or player configuration etc).
PREVIEW VIDEO / IMAGE
Navigate back to NETWORK / GROUPS and you’ll see all the Groups in your network, along with the number of players within each Group.
Here you can click on the name to view or edit the Group.
In the Group window, you can also click on the thumbnail to preview media within a playlist.
A preview window will appear in which you can view that file. If it’s a video, it will start playing automatically.
